Requirements

Must be at least 25 years old and a Grade 7 Referee at some point in referee career. Please refer to the Referee Administrative Handbook ("National Referee Assessment Program" found in the Table of Contents) for all requirements on becoming an Assessor.

Experienced officials who possess the necessary technical and "people" skills are invited to become part of their state's assessment program.

Please e-mail our office to be considered for the next available Entry Level Assessor Course.  A resume on both your personal business and soccer experience should be submitted to the ISRC Office at Info@IllinoisSoccerRefereeCommittee.org.

Most State Referee Committees host Entry Level Assessor training courses at least once a year, depending upon sufficient candidates to conduct a clinic. However, an assessor candidate who has been pre-approved by the Illinois SDA may attend an out of state assessor course at their own expense. Contact the ISRC office at the e-mail address above to find where out-of-state assessor clinics may be taking place.

Must recertify each year!
